  • Eric Church Tickets Go Paperless: Frequently Asked Questions

    08/06/2012

"It is important to get tickets into the hands of real fans at face value, and using paperless tickets is the way to do it." – Eric Church

    Q. What is Paperless Ticketing?
    A. Ticketmaster developed the Paperless Ticket system as a way for consumers and event presenters to benefit from virtually-validated and paperless tickets. The technology creates an electronic ticket on the purchaser's credit card, up until their time of entry to the venue. This replaces the need for the consumer to hold a paper ticket prior to the event. Paperless ticketing is an alternative delivery method that helps ensure fans have secure and convenient access to event tickets at the original sale price.

    Q. What seats are available for paperless tickets?
    A. Floor seating, the Lower Level (Sections 3-18) and the Krieg DeVault Club Level (Sections 101-120) have been designated for paperless delivery method.

    Q. Why can't I just get printed tickets?
    A. Paperless ticketing ensures that only fans can purchase tickets and attend the event. Paperless tickets have been used successfully at many large events and customers comment that this process was very easy. In partnership with the artist, Bankers Life Fieldhouse has implemented this technology to ensure that fans receive access to the best seats and can rest assured that they are authentic and valid tickets. Only Ticketmaster sells official paperless tickets to our events.

    Q. How does it work?
    A. Instead of receiving tickets ahead of the event, the credit card used to make the purchase will serve as the customer's access to the paperless ticket. To attend the show, the customer presents the credit card used to purchase the ticket(s) and a valid, government issued ID (such as a driver's license, state ID or passport). The gate attendant will swipe the credit card and a seat locator will print for all the tickets purchased with that credit card. Since all the seats are assigned to a single credit card, your entire party must enter the venue at the same time.

    Q. Is it difficult to get into the venue?
    A. Not at all. If you have your credit card and government issued ID ready, entry is just as fast or even faster if there are several people in your group.

    Q. How do I find my seat(s)?
    A. Once the credit card is scanned and validated, a seat locator slip will print for each seat in the order. Our ushers will be on hand to help direct you from the turnstile to your seat using the seat locator.

    Q. What other restrictions should I be aware of?
    A. No gift cards will be accepted as a method of payment for a Paperless event. This includes Ticketmaster gift cards and any variation of Visa, MasterCard or American Express gift cards. Ticketmaster and Bankers Life Fieldhouse reserve the right to cancel any orders made with any type of gift cards.

    Q. What if I'm not going to the show, but I purchased the tickets?
    A. If you bought the tickets for a friend or family member, you will need to take them to the entry gate and still present your credit card and government issued ID.

    Q. What if I want to buy tickets for someone else in another state and can't get to the venue for the day of the event?
    A. To ensure that the tickets remain in the hands of the fan, paperless ticketing requires that that cardholder who purchased the tickets presents their credit card at the door for admission. We would advise you to have the person, who will be attending the show, purchase the tickets themselves with their credit card and then you can reimburse them.

    Q. What if my credit card expires before the event?
    A. Because the tickets are assigned to the credit card used for the purchase, the expired card or a replacement card with the same account number will print your seat locator. Bankers Life Fieldhouse will have ticket resolution locations available on the day of the event to assist you with any admission concerns.

    Q. What if I don't have or I lose my credit card before the event?
    A. If you do not have a credit card with the same account number as the one used to make the purchase, the simplest option is to contact Ticketmaster Customer Service at 1-800-653-8000 and change the credit card on file no less than 24 hours in advance of the show. If that is not possible, please come to the Bankers Life Fieldhouse Box Office or any of the resolution points at the venue on the day of the show. In this case, please be sure to bring the confirmation email or online order history and your government issued photo ID. The Box Office at Bankers Life Fieldhouse will verify that the name associated with the order matchers the name on the ID. Bankers Life Fieldhouse will make every effort to make sure that the original purchaser of the tickets will gain entry to the event.

    Q. What if my credit card can't be properly scanned at the gate?
    A. You are still required to present the credit card so that the gate agent may attempt to scan it. If the scan fails, then the number can be manually entered, so long as the name on the credit card matches your government issued ID. Bankers Life Fieldhouse will have ticket resolution locations to serve customers with similar issues on the day of the event.

    Q: Are there refunds?
A: There are no refunds for this event.

Q: Can I buy paperless tickets directly at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse Box Office?
A: Yes, fans will be able to purchase paperless tickets at Bankers Life Fieldhouse Box Office in person starting at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 10th. Fans will receive their receipt for the credit card transaction and a ticket receipt identifying the seat location purchased at the time of purchase. As is the case with transactions occurring through Ticketmaster, the credit card and photo ID will need to be presented at the turnstile on the night of the event.
