Just Announced! The Voice Finalist Tapped to Sing at Three Winter Jam 2018 Dates!

Addison Agen – Runner Up on Season 13 of The Voice Added to Roster!

Her home state and neighbors are going to be happy! Addison Agen from Fort Wayne, IN has been added as a special guest on three Winter Jam 2018 dates. She has been contracted to appear on Feb. 8 at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, IN; Feb. 10 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, IN and Feb. 11 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, MI! Addison is the first runner up on The Voice season 13.

“Going to Winter Jam has always been a tradition,” Agen said. “It is high honor to be a part of this HUGE event! I feel very humbled to be asked but super excited to share my faith through songs.”

A lot has happened to Agen in just a few years to catapult her onto the Winter Jam stage. She had never been on a plane before flying out to audition for The Voice last year. Raised in Fort Wayne, she started playing the piano at age 2. Her mother had color coded the 3 chords needed for each song and she was able to match the colors to the key. She began singing publicly when she was 4 years old and joined the Praise Team at her home church. By the time, she was 9, her father had bought a record store that gave her the opportunity to explore many different genres and musical influences. She began songwriting when she was 11, and recently, her father built a stage inside the shop so she could perform. Agen’s mother has worked as a musical therapist at nursing homes, and Agen would tag along to sing with her mom.

Her voice – rough and gravelly – has always caught people a little off guard. She sang her way through Season 13 of The Voice with such songs as “Don’t Know Why” with Norah Jones, “Falling Slowly” with Adam Levine, “Tennessee Rain,” “Humble and Kind” and “Both Sides Now” –  all showing a musical range and poise beyond her years. Post season, Agen is now working on her debut album “New Places,” and her first single, “Start Over,” which is scheduled to release this summer.

“I am looking forward to sharing a new song I wrote about God’s perfect plan and his perfect timing,” she said. “I also can’t wait to possibly meet the other artists. I hope this opportunity will open more doors for me to share my faith thru song. I pray it will be a time for me to connect with people on what really matters in life—showing and receiving His love.”
