Second Annual High School Hoops Event Conducted December 21 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse
INDIANAPOLIS – Compton Strategies will host the second annual high school hoops Hoosier Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 21 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. First tipoff is at 11:00 a.m. Arena doors open at 10:30 a.m.
Six games will feature 12 teams and ten Indiana schools at the state’s ultimate basketball showplace which is home to the Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever, and the annual IHSAA boys basketball state championships.
“We are very pleased and grateful that Pacers Sports and Entertainment is giving these teams, schools and communities an opportunity to play at Bankers Life Fieldhouse,” said Ray Compton, president of Compton Strategies. “The players and fans will be enjoying a once-in-a-lifetime experience – playing in a world-class NBA facility. This is another example of how connected the Pacers are to the Indiana basketball nation.”
- Boys matchups between Martinsvile and Eastern Greene, then Mooresville against Edgewood, open the schedule.
- A Westfield vs. Tipton doubleheader features a girls game at 2:45, followed by the boys at 4:30.
- The evening portion of the schedule includes boys games featuring Oak Hill against Frankton, then Mississinewa against Mount Vernon.
All ticketing for the event is general admission. Tickets go on sale to the general public at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse Box Office and all Ticketmaster outlets at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 18. All tickets purchased at The Fieldhouse or any Ticketmaster outlet are $13. Advance tickets are available at all ten schools – adult and student tickets are $10 and youth tickets (12-and-under) are $8.
