Wow. All I can purr is wow. What a ride! My #54games43days staycation has been amazing. While I’m exhausted and looking forward to a more normal routine, it was unlike any experience I have ever had and this last week was nothing short of paw-some. Friday saw a venue change over… again… for the NCAA Women’s Final Four. Let me just say, the women of NCAA basketball really brought their game to Indy. Lots of action and lots of drama, but UConn stole the show and was crowned the Division I champion. This marks their fourth NCAA Championship in four years, being the first women’s D1 team to ever do so. With winning his 11th title, UConn coach Geno Auriemma passed UCLA men’s coach John Wooden for most NCAA championships. That’s right! Even more hoops history was made inside Bankers Life Fieldhouse! Now that’s what I call purrrrfect.
My boys in blue and gold came out on top of a two-game road trip against the Sixers and the Knicks. And Wednesday they took home a win against the Cavs. At this point every game matters leading into the Playoffs. Catastic! Let’s recap the last 43 days, shall we? Games: 54 Total Points: 7,958 Total Attendance: 442,204 Champions: 15 Teams: 70 All in all, the Fieldhouse staff converted the arena floors in and out a whopping 16 times. Crazy! We also crowned 15 champions during #54gamesin43days, proving once again that Bankers Life Fieldhouse is the home of championship basketball.
